From beautiful Beaufort, SC, WHHI proudly presents the Cross County Bowl brought to you by Summit Services between the May River Sharks and the Beaufort Eagles! These former 74A rivals could be tangled in a great one! Coming off a 13-7 win last year and a 2-2 start in 2023, Beaufort looks to keep Samari Bonds going strong with positive momentum. The QB looked very healthy in a 32-25 win vs Goose Creek last week. If the trench play can stand up and play well, BHS may be in line to run to a win led by the plethora of running backs they have. They do have some speed on the outside, but look to a see run-first offense as they look for win number one at home!
May River is 2-1 on the season and 2-0 as the road warriors thus far under new Head Coach Richard Bonneville! Trench play for them is a key to open things up for Gage Duncan, Kammron Mitchell, and company lead by Quarterback Tanner Macy, who is off to a fine start this season! They’ve had a lot working for them including last week in a huge win over Battery Creek. They also look to keep the positive momentum going and avenge last year’s defeat in this 74A at 83A High School League battle. There are stars a plenty on defense too!
