From Seabrook in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina, WHHI-TV proudly presents the Beaufort Bowl between the Battery Creek Dolphins and the Whale Branch Warriors!
Battery Creek hosted and won a great matchup last year on WHHI-TV 19-13 under Terrance Ashe, who is now the AD at Battery Creek. Ed Suzi will coach his first matchup vs Whale Branch tonight. Nyc Underwood had the play of the game with a long kickoff return, Damien Freeman was involved, and Jeremiah McKeechum, who was the player of the game, had 2 touchdowns. Underwood and Freeman have returned this year in hopes to make an impact.
Returning stars Davon Evans and Keith KJ Chisolm had the scoring plays for Whale Branch. BC came in 1-4 prior to that game in which they got their fourth win in 12 chances in this Rivalry. They have played a couple close games, but injuries have hampered them to start the season especially in the running game.
Whale Branch comes in undefeated after playing a couple less games and have been really playing well. Led by Chisolm, Alonzo Allen, Darrell Cummings, Malachai Evans and a cast others Whale Branch under Jerry Hatcher, looks to keep the good times rolling with a great effort, a win vs Battery Creek and to stay undefeated. After last year’s loss, Alonzo Allen told Lowco Sports Justin Jarrett and Wes Kerr “This One Is Personal”! Whale Branch has struggled some at home in recent and this would be a big chance to get a win and improve to 9-4 vs Battery Creek.
Kaysee Sullivan is a new addition to this rivalry as the new Whale Branch AD. Lots of great athletes will be matched up in this classic contest in the good ole neighborhood.
