Sahith Theegala Plays Mini Golf with Local Youth!
RBC Royal Bank of Canada sponsors a surprise mini-golf island session with kids from the Hilton Head Island Recreation Center to play with RBC Team Ambassador & PGA Tour Pro Sahith Theegala at Pirate’s Island Adventure Golf!
On Wednesday, April 17 during the 2024 RBC Heritage, Team RBC ambassador Sahith Theegala surprised local Hilton Head Island youth during an afternoon of mini golf provided by RBC.
Theegala, who finished T5 at the 2023 RBC Heritage, joined a group of young people from the Island Recreation Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the local community and residents of all backgrounds.
To commemorate this event, RBC donated $25,000 to the Heritage Classic Foundation, which supports organizations that focus on important causes across South Carolina, including the Island Recreation Center. Since its inception in 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has distributed more than $52 million to local charities. Last year, RBC helped the Foundation raise more than $2.9 million in support of community programs across the state.
Helping communities prosper is core to RBC’s Purpose, and setting up youth in our communities for a thriving future is one of the key ways we do that.
