Future Educator Scholarship
Averie Tracewell is a new graduate of Beaufort High School and the 2025 winner of the Conroy Center's Future Educator Scholarship, a $5,000 award. She will be attending USCB this fall, with plans to be an elementary school teacher in Beaufort County.

Sean A. Scapellato is the new chair of the Conroy Center's board of directors. Sean is an attorney, a former high school and middle school English teacher, a writer, a workshop instructor, and a Conroy protege who assisted Pat with research and later his book tour for the novel South of Broad.
