Kiwanis of Hilton Head is an organization dedicated to supporting over 20 local youth organizations through fundraising and service projects. Some of these organizations include, The Boys & Girls Club, The Children’s Center, The Sandbox, Soar Special Recreation, Bikers Against Child Abuse, First Tee, and many more. Our group is 25+ members strong and meet twice a month at Skull Creek Dockside. The 2nd Thursday of the month at 8am and 4th Thursday at 4pm.
We provide support through service projects and fundraising activities. Service projects include:
• Clean up at Bristol and Crossings Park for the HH Baseball Association.
• Our Kiwanis grill team cooks tasty food for the MKL Fun Day and Pedal Hilton Head ride to support the Boys and Girls Club.
• We set up and maintain displays for The Sandbox Museum.
• Organize bike parking for the Heritage.
We also provide financial support through fundraising activities. Our most well-known is the Chili Cook Off held in October each year. This year will mark out 39th CCO and for the first time be held at Celebration Park with the Jeep Island organization. Winners earn cash prize donations for the youth charity of their choice. And of course, bragging rights.
We also hold our Cornhole for Charity Tournament in April, which is hosted by Lincoln & South Brewing Company.
• Date: April 27th at 1pm
• We have expanded to 36 teams this year.
• This year event proceeds will benefit SOAR Special Recreation of the Lowcountry.
• This is a single elimination format. With the winners earning prize donations for the youth charity of their choice.
• All sponsor and registrations fees, along with a portion of L&S sales will be used to support local youth.
