We are in the final stretch of our Stock the Market campaign. We see an increase in families shopping in The Market during the summer months when children are home from school and families are responsible for extra meals and childcare costs rise.
Our goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of food to support our Lowcountry neighbors. This may sound like a lot, but this year we are averaging about 50,000 pounds of food that we share with our community monthly. There are roughly 600 families that rely on The Market, our free grocery store, each month. For us food is non-negotiable, and we will ensure that our neighbors aren't hungry.
To help us meet our goal we are offering a Super Saturday this Saturday, May 31st. We'll be open from 9AM - 12PM. While you're out running your weekend errands, stop by and donate non-perishables to help us support our neighbors.
