70% of cardiac arrests happen in the home. Recently a life was saved in a cardiac arrest emergency by a family member starting CPR prior to first responders arriving in Bluffton.
BTFD wants to educate as many people as possible on the basics of responding to cardiac arrest through proper CPR and AED usage.
We will be holding free courses for the public to learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, how to administer quality chest compressions, how to use an AED, and how to respond to choking emergencies.
