Snack Closet / Educational Programs / Needed Items
It’s back to school for our young learners as well. To support our youngest learners, we’re collecting school snacks to ensure that all Bluffton public schools have a stocked snack closet. We know that when students are hungry during the school day it’s hard to focus and succeed.
As summer comes to a close, we are also gearing up to start the academic year at Bluffton Self Help. We are committed to offering a variety of resources and paths towards our neighbor’s education goals. Whether it’s taking a GED class, enrolling in a Financial Literacy class, or meeting to discuss professional development we are here to support adult learners on their path forward.
At Bluffton Self Help, we are seeing more neighbors utilizing The Market and we are struggling to keep our shelves filled. We purchase food like eggs, milk, protein, and produce to ensure that we have healthy items available to keep families not just fed but nourished. For the first time in quite some time we have been having to purchase non-perishable items like soup, rice, and other staple pantry items.
